Plunge into the Past

The hotel’s closest neighbour is the Red Torch Theatre. The majestic building, which was fashioned in the classical tradition and can be enjoyed from the restaurant and bar, was built in 1914 for the Merchants Assembly. To this day, it remains a source of pride and place of rest for many citizens.

The symbol and pride of the city is Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The biggest Russian theatre building (and the second largest in the world) is located in the town square, and it is rightly called “the Siberian Colosseum”. For some time, this collective theatre and its repertoire have established themselves as reason enough for a visit to Novosibirsk. World stars consider it an honour to speak here, although it is not easy: the local audience has a passion for artists, but does not hold back criticism.

Be One with Nature

If the weather is good for walking, keep on the path to the right of Lenin Square on Soviet Street. Pervomaisky Square is a great place for strolls with interesting landscaped areas, sculptures, and fountains. Even if you are on a short trip, plan at least half a day to explore the zoo, unique in its size and diversity of species. This is the easiest and most vivid way to experience the beauty of Siberian nature, and fall in love with her forever.

Akademgorodok is more than just a world-renowned research centre. Here you can enjoy elements of the beautiful Siberian nature and fresh forest air, as well as visit the Botanical Garden, several beaches, and recreation areas in the Novosibirsk reservoir.
